Warehouse Operator, Blue Buffalo - Richmond, IN

As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for storage of finished product, outbound shipments and supporting production needs.

Shift hours:
  • 12-hour shifts - 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, schedule
  • Day shift: 7 am to 7 pm
  • Night shift: 7 pm to 7 am

Currently hiring for NIGHT shift only. Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

Pay:
  • $23.50 per hour
  • Shift differential: Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7 pm and 7 am

Our Richmond facility opened in 2018 and produces dry dog and cat food in large and small bags. We make over 1.2 million pounds of pet food daily. Our Richmond Buffs are humble, hungry, and smart, and take pride in a unique and highly-engaged team culture. What your day will look like:
  • Creating high-quality foods that are eaten EVERYDAY, NATIONWIDE
  • Using TECHNOLOGY in an industry-leading facility
  • Working with HIGH-LEVEL operators on EXPERIENCED teams willing to pass down knowledge and learn
  • Challenging yourself to complete tasks accurately and gain valuable skills, including:
    • Forklift and high lift equipment operation
    • Preparing and loading products for outbound shipment
    • Storing finished products
    • Loading and inspecting outbound products
    • Participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives
    • Training new employees
What you have to offer:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing/production preferred
  • Forklift license/certification or willingness to obtain one
Physical requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting
  • Work at heights using stairs, ladders, or lifts
  • Wear protective clothing and equipment as required
  • Adhere to grooming standards for food manufacturing
  • Work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, and wet environments
  • Work around high-speed machinery
  • Handle allergens present in food environments
  • Work in a tobacco-free environment
