Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. seeks an Associate Logistics Manager to oversee daily transportation operations under the Dedicated Logistics Manager. You will manage drivers, plan loads, ensure customer satisfaction and drive revenue through headhaul/backhaul activity.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, invoicing, and coordinating with billing, payroll, and risk. The role covers asset maintenance oversight and driver payroll while meeting KPIs and customer expectations. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in day-to-day transportation operations.
• Ability to manage drivers and payroll.
• Knowledge of safety, compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assign drivers to loads optimizing origin, destination, freight type, miles and stops.
• Train and retain drivers by addressing home time, payroll and equipment issues.
• Oversee account profitability and growth.
• Monitor driver load assignments to meet customer service expectations.
• Monitor driver safety, pre-trip inspections and CSA scores for safe deliveries.
• Enforce safety compliance with policy, with safety department support.
• Interface with billing, operations, customer service and risk teams.
• Ensure adherence to policies while making safety-conscious decisions.
• Understand customer dynamics to improve value and relationships with Werner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
