Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Palatka, FL facility is seeking a Logistics Material Handler in our Shipping department. You will operate forklift and other material handling equipment to move large rolls of paper and supplies used in production, and you will use SAP/EWM to track inventory.

The role offers a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays) in a non-climate controlled plant. Starting hourly rate is $21.82 with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in production, warehouse, manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment.
• Forklift experience.
• H.S Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment (forklift/tow motor) to move rolls of paper and other production materials.
• Monitor and operate palletizing machinery within the plant.
• Use SAP/EWM tablet to move inventory accurately.
• Complete safety training including lockout/tagout and forklift safety certification.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and wear required PPE.

Our Georgia-Pacific facility in Palatka, FL is seeking a Logistics Material Handler. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career with a growing business! Team members will start their career in our Shipping department.

Our Team

The Material Handlers work a rotating 12-hour shift on a schedule which will rotate days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime hours. Our work environment is non-climate controlled and can be hot, humid and/or cold.

Starting hourly rate of $21.82 per hour with a competitive benefits package.

What You Will Do in Your Role

• Operate various types of Material Handling equipment (i.e. Forklift/Tow Motor) to warehouse and deliver large rolls of paper and other materials used in the production of our finished product
• Monitor, maintain, and operate palletizing machinery within the plant
• Utilization of tablet device to move inventory accurately using SAP/EWM Electronic Warehouse Management Systems
• Complete safety training that consist of lock out; tag out, safety controls, forklift safety certification, and "Save My Life" permitting
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment

• Experience in a production, warehouse, manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment
• Forklift experience

What Will Put You Ahead

• One (1) year of more of operating heavy industrial equipment
• Shipping and receiving computer/handheld scanner experience
