As Manager, Logistics, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for logistics activities across projects and asset services, ensuring supply chains operate safely, efficiently, and cost effectively.

This role serves as a critical link between project teams, procurement, construction, suppliers, and transportation providers, helping to ensure the right materials arrive at the right place and time to support project execution. You will drive logistics excellence, optimize workflows, and develop processes that enhance project performance while minimizing risk, cost, and operational disruption.

Supporting industrial construction projects, this position collaborates closely with stakeholders across the organization and may require periodic travel to Worley offices in Baton Rouge and Houston, as well as occasional visits to active construction project sites.

Purpose of the role

The Manager, Logistics is responsible for leading logistics strategy, planning, execution, and continuous improvement activities that support project and business objectives. The role oversees logistics policies, procedures, systems, and resources while ensuring alignment with customer requirements, project schedules, and organizational priorities.

You will lead a logistics team and provide the direction necessary to establish efficient transportation, distribution, inventory, warehousing, material management, and supply chain solutions. Through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure logistics operations support safe, predictable, and successful project delivery.

You will be responsible for
  • Leading logistics operations that support industrial construction projects, asset services, and business objectives across the assigned region and customer sectors.
  • Developing and implementing logistics strategies, policies, procedures, and performance standards that drive operational excellence and project success.
  • Managing transportation, material distribution, inventory control, warehousing, and supply chain activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Optimizing logistics workflows and operating models to improve efficiency, reliability, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Leading vendor qualification, selection, negotiation, and performance management activities to ensure value-driven supplier partnerships.
  • Supporting project execution teams by developing logistics plans that align with construction schedules, procurement activities, and customer commitments.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance logistics performance, reduce operational risk, and support sustainable business outcomes.
  • Monitoring logistics performance indicators, conducting operational analyses, and implementing solutions that improve project and business results.
  • Managing project-related logistics budgets and ensuring operations are executed within approved financial targets.
  • Collaborating closely with procurement, construction, project controls, engineering, and project management teams to support integrated project delivery.
  • Providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for logistics professionals and support personnel.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of new logistics systems, tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Managing complex logistics challenges and making informed decisions that consider financial, operational, environmental, and customer impacts.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.
  • Championing safety, quality, compliance, and operational excellence throughout all logistics activities.
