Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Manager (Transportation) for the 2nd shift in Brownstown, MI. This exempt salary role runs Monday–Friday from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am, with weekly pay and a 10% annual bonus.

You will manage salaried and hourly staff, oversee payroll, and report on account profitability while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. The position requires 3+ years in logistics, a HS diploma, and a Bachelor’s in Business or Logistics is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
• 3+ years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• 2+ years of direct reports management.
• Strong knowledge of transportation/warehouse logistics operations and safety.

Logistics Manager (Transportation) (2nd shift) – Brownstown, MI

• Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid weekly
• Annual Salary Pay: $77,000 - $82,000 per year based on experience
• Bonus: 10% annually
• Schedule: 2nd shift: Monday-Friday 9:00 pm – 6:00 am (flexible)

Summary

The 2nd shift Logistics Manager is responsible to manage all activities associated with the efficient operation of accounts. This includes P&L responsibility, ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance, employee relations and safety.

Essential Functions

• Manage the performance of salaried employees as well as hourly paid employees under his/her responsibility, resolve performance issues, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with senior management and customers to determine their needs and expectations and operate the account to meet those demands.
• Be responsible for the payroll of employees.
• Analyze weekly and monthly P&L statement to determine account profitability, and provide financial data and weekly operations report to senior management.
• Be responsible for accounts payable, vendor quotes for purchased materials, and customer invoicing.
• Hold Safety & Security meetings, provide safety training and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

• Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on the various work shifts

Compensation Information
