Job summary

Riviera Hospitality in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a hands-on Logistics Manager to oversee our delivery fleet and distribution operations across home and bulk delivery lines. You will manage fleet maintenance, daily route planning, and driver communication for about 50 drivers across 32-35 routes per day, coordinating with warehouse and customer service teams.

The role requires ensuring DOT and safety compliance, optimizing costs, and developing SOPs as the department scales in a fast-growing food

Responsibilities

We're a growing food service and hospitality company delivering meals across senior nutrition, community, and healthcare-affiliated programs throughout the NYC area. Our delivery operation is expanding, and we're looking for a hands-on Logistics Manager to help us scale.

About the Role

We're looking for a Logistics Manager to oversee our delivery fleet and distribution operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable delivery across our Home and Bulk delivery lines. You'll manage fleet maintenance, daily route planning, and driver communication for a team of approximately 50 drivers running 32-35 routes per day, while working closely with our warehouse and customer service teams. You'll also oversee a mixed fleet of company-leased, company-owned, and owner-operator vehicles, and report to our Operations leadership.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily dispatch and routing for 32-35 routes per day, optimizing schedules for efficiency, on-time delivery, and driver workload balance
• Manage a driver team of approximately 50, including scheduling, performance oversight, and day-to-day communication
• Coordinate fleet maintenance and repair schedules to minimize downtime and ensure DOT and safety compliance across all vehicles
• Manage relationships and agreements with owner-operators, alongside oversight of company-leased and company-owned vehicles
• Support the planning and onboarding of new vehicles and drivers as the fleet grows
• Partner with the warehouse team to align delivery schedules with inventory availability and loading operations
• Serve as a key point of contact for customer service on delivery status, escalations, and service recovery
• Monitor fuel, maintenance, and operational costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency and savings
• Track and report on delivery performance metrics (on-time rate, route efficiency, vehicle downtime)
• Ensure compliance with all applicable DOT, safety, and licensing regulations for drivers and vehicles
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for routing, dispatch, and fleet management as the department scales

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in logistics, fleet, or transportation management, ideally within food service, hospitality, or last-mile delivery
• Demonstrated experience managing a driver team and coordinating daily route operations at scale
• Working knowledge of fleet maintenance planning and DOT compliance requirements
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, growing environment with evolving processes
• Proficiency with routing/dispatch software and standard office tools; experience with fleet management systems a plus

Work Environment

This role requires regular presence in both office and warehouse/dispatch settings, based in Brooklyn, NY. Occasional early morning or evening availability may be required to support route start times or resolve delivery issues.
