Job summary

Hire Road, Inc. is assisting a premier global automotive supplier in recruiting a Logistics Manager in Kentucky.

You will oversee customer service, material ordering, production scheduling, warehousing and overall logistics operations, while managing customer portals, tracking KPIs, and ensuring delivery performance and inventory targets. The role requires at least 3 years in supply chain in automotive, five years in manufacturing, strong Excel/PowerPoint, and experience with AS400/SAP MM & SD,

Qualifications

• University degree or higher preferred.
• Five years in manufacturing with at least three in automotive.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Extensive MRP software experience (AS400, SAP MM & SD).
• Experience in automotive environment and pace.
• Experience with an international supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage customer service, material ordering, production scheduling, warehousing, and related activities.
• Monthly KPI reporting (inventory, delivery, customer ratings, freight costs) and actions.
• Maintain delivery performance and optimize inventory levels.
• Manage documentation of executed processes.
• Improve Logistics Supplier Development when needed.
• Ensure conformance with ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, and HSE requirements.

Job description

• Our client is a premier, global automotive supplier looking for a Logistics Manager. The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing customer service, material ordering, production scheduling, warehousing, and overall logistics operations while managing customer portals, tracking logistics KPIs, maintaining delivery performance and inventory levels, improving supplier development, and ensuring compliance with automotive quality, environmental, and safety standards.

Logistics Manager must have at least 3 years of supply chain management experience in a similar automotive environment.

Logistics Manager Job Requirements:

• University degree or higher preferred.
• Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least three years in the automotive industry.
• Good Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Extensive MRP software experience with AS400 / SAP modules MM and SD, respectively.
• Experience in an automotive working environment and pace.
• Experience with an international supply chain.

Logistics Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage customer service, material ordering, production scheduling, warehousing, and the administration of these activities.
• Monthly reporting of several logistics KPIs (e.g., inventory, delivery performance and customer ratings, freight cost, premium freight) and derive actions from that to meet the goals.
• Maintain excellent delivery performance and lower inventory levels as much as possible (inventory in % of sales and/or Days of Coverage).
• Manage documentation of the executed processes.
• Continue improving Logistics Supplier Development when necessary.
• Assure conformance with ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, and HSE requirements.
