Job Summary:
The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing inboard freight, inter-company transportation, shortage solutions, and finished goods logistics.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires and trains employees.
- Organizes, directs, and oversees the schedules and work of employees.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages logistics for all goods including inbound, outbound, import and export.
- Create budgets and compare truck pricing to select preferred vendors.
- Acts as liaison with brokers and coordinators quarterly business reviews.
- Generates monthly reporting as needed for Management Reviews.
- Audits all freight bills for accuracy and handles billing disputes.
- Coordinates inter-company milk run processes.
- Supports the development and execution of warehousing and storage plans.
- Manages company’s equipment fleet.
- Assists in the analysis of HTS codes and optimization of shipping methods.
- Troubleshoots issues that arise.
- Ensures work areas are clean and orderly.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 5 years of logistics management and at least 6 months of labor work.
- International transportation management is required.
- Experience with customs and duties is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking or lifting and ability to carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Infrequent stooping, kneeling, twisting, pushing, pulling of items weighing 200 lbs with the use of cranes.
- Occasional repetitive movements using finger and hands for gripping pressure.
- Required to wear safety boots.
- Occasional wearing of safety glasses and gloves.
- Frequently work indoors and around moving vehicles.
- Infrequent exposure to temps less than 55 degrees, dust, disagreeable odors, intermittent noise greater than 85 dB wearing foam ear plugs, work with machinery with moving parts and be outdoors.
