Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination of customer orders and liaise with sales and production to ensure service quality.
  • Oversee logistics programs, use data to identify root causes, and drive process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and maintain accurate inventory data.
  • Guide cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement standardized procedures.
  • Monitor performance metrics and report progress to management.

Job description

Primary Objective:

Follow all PCB procedures and forms in compliance to ISO 9001.

  • Assumes a lead role for the coordination of customers’ orders. Communicates information to and from sales and production team to insure good customer service.
  • Assumes a lead role in managing the success of programs to improve assigned functional area of the organization. Improvements are achieved through problem identification, data collection and analysis, and process control. Communication with all levels of personnel are required. Special focus on all Logistics functions including import/export and custom’s compliance.
Major Areas of Accountability

Promotes teamwork, cooperation and commitment to “Total Customer Satisfaction” among team members.

  1. Identifies process problems through gathering data and conducting root cause analysis.
  2. Ensures company’s compliance in all aspects of import and export activities.
  3. Improves overall Logistics functions including cost savings of the overall department.
  4. Facilitates cross-functional teams to identify issues and coordinate resolution of root causes including the development of process improvement procedures.
  5. Determines performance measurements that will be valid indicators of the functional area’s performance.
  6. Tracks measurements, compiles periodic reports and presents to management on a regular basis.
  7. Organizes programs progress through meeting minutes, documenting assigned tasks and task completion and establishing short-term and long term goals.
  8. Documents process improvement procedures, obtains management approval on the process, trains affected personnel, and initiates implementation.
  9. Responsible for all activities within Logistics Group including shipping and receiving of customer and vendor orders.
  10. Recommend and implement Logistics process improvements.
  11. Oversees maintenance of accurate inventory data.
  12. Ensures that products are complete, correct and ready for shipment.
  13. Participates in Managers meetings and communicates to Logistics team.
  14. Manages team members when needed to ensure workflow is maintained and customer orders are completed.
  15. Ensures effective communication in order that team members understand and follow established policies and procedures within the Logistics department.
  16. Performs other related duties as assigned.

A working knowledge of MRP, material systems, logistics operations, and ISO standards. Computer literacy and knowledge of traditional PC based software such as Microsoft Office: specific areas would include strong skills in Excel and Word. Proven ability to exercise good judgment, coordinate and motivate co-workers, organize tasks, set goals, and solve problems through analysis of data and facts. Thorough knowledge of import, export, and customs procedures and regulations
