U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist - Assistant Chief Supply Chain Officer to support the CSCO in developing and integrating a comprehensive supply chain for VA Health Care Systems and catchment areas.

The role involves coordinating logistics across the organization, managing procurement and distribution, and ensuring high-performing processes. Telework may be authorized and is discussed during the interview.

Responsabilidades

Plans and coordinates fiscal, acquisition, clinical and administrative operations.
Establishes, monitors and manages the performance and measurement of logistics functions for all aspects of the supply chain.
Conducts logistics audits, compliance reviews and program effectiveness/efficiency reviews.
Manages sourcing, procurement and logistics activities; links major business functions into a cohesive model.
Forecasts planning and budget execution for supplies, subsistence, medical equipment, inventory, warehouse operations, transportation and distribution.

This position serves as the Logistics Management Specialist - Assistant Chief Supply Chain Officer (ACSCO), assisting the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) with the development and integration of a supply chain that ensures the logistical requirement of the VA Health Care Systems and supported catchment areas are met.

Key Responsibilities

Major duties and responsibilities include: Oversees, guides, manages and integrates supply chain operations across the organization; Plans and coordinates fiscal, acquisition, clinical and administrative operations; Establishes, monitors and manages the performance and measurement of logistics functions for all aspects of the supply chain; Conducts logistics audits, compliance reviews and program effectiveness/efficiency reviews; Manages all activities involved in the supply chain management to include sourcing, procurement and logistics management activities; Responsible for linking major business functions and processes within the organization into a cohesive and high performing business model; Forecast planning and budget execution for supplies, subsistence, durable medical equipment, medical gases, expendable/non-expendable and capital equipment, inventory management, warehouse operations, transportation and distribution; Leads and/or participates in regular meetings, ensuring logistics needs and requirements are being met; Performs other related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: M-F 8 am-4:30 pm Telework: Ad-hoc. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
