HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist to oversee and synchronize complex joint logistics operations across multiple branches in support of the Joint Logistics Enterprise. The role requires advising senior leadership and directing supervisory staff to ensure readiness and effective wartime logistics planning.

Qualifications

  • Managing and synchronizing complex joint logistics operations across four branches to support the Joint Logistics Enterprise (JLEnt).
  • Integrating logistics and distribution activities for four-star commands within the INDOPACOM theater to influence doctrine, policy, budget and planning.
  • Advising senior leadership on critical operational logistic issues, resolving readiness shortfalls, and providing recommendations impacting wartime logistics.
  • Exercising full supervisory responsibilities by directing work through subordinate supervisors, establishing performance standards, and handling training decisions for the division.
  • Representing the Logistics Operations Division in high-level engagements with senior executives from The Joint Staff, OSD, and other combatant commands to influence strategic matters.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and synchronizing complex joint logistics operations across four separate branches, including Joint Petroleum, Joint Munitions, and the Pacific Deployment & Distribution Operations Center (PDDOC) to support the Joint Logistics Enterprise (JLEnt).
  • Integrating operational logistics and distribution activities for four-star component commands within the INDOPACOM theater, influencing theater-wide doctrine, policy, budget, and strategic planning for all classes of supply.
  • Advising senior directorate leadership on critical operational logistic support issues, resolving readiness shortfalls, and providing expert recommendations that directly impact mission execution for wartime logistics.
  • Exercising full-scope supervisory responsibilities by directing work through subordinate supervisors, developing performance standards, resolving grievances, and making final decisions on non-routine and costly training requests for the division.
  • Representing the Logistics Operations Division in high-level engagements with senior executives and flag officers from The Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and other combatant commands to influence, persuade, and negotiate on matters of strategic importance.

Job description

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  1. 1). Managing and synchronizing complex joint logistics operations across four separate branches, including Joint Petroleum, Joint Munitions, and the Pacific Deployment & Distribution Operations Center (PDDOC) to support the Joint Logistics Enterprise (JLEnt).
  2. 2). Integrating operational logistics and distribution activities for four-star component commands within the INDOPACOM theater, influencing theater-wide doctrine, policy, budget, and strategic planning for all classes of supply.
  3. 3). Advising senior directorate leadership on critical operational logistic support issues, resolving readiness shortfalls, and providing expert recommendations that directly impact mission execution for wartime logistics.
  4. 4). Exercising full-scope supervisory responsibilities by directing work through subordinate supervisors, developing performance standards, resolving grievances, and making final decisions on non-routine and costly training requests for the division.
