Job summary

Kroger in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead building and equipment upkeep on-site. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, coach a team of maintenance associates, and work with planners to optimize costs and productivity.

This role requires strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills to drive safe, reliable operations. The ideal candidate has extensive maintenance experience, 2+ years in leadership, and a proven ability to manage costs and safety

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a facility maintenance department (Level 5).
• 5+ years maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Introductory skill set of maintenance (Level 4).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to report and propose solutions.
• High sense of urgency and motivation to address issues.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisors and managers on daily operations.
• Promote safety and sanitation across all areas.
• Ensure weekly preventive maintenance is completed with planners/schedulers.
• Ensure timely completion of corrective work orders with 100% accuracy.
• Collaborate with all areas to maximize productivity and performance.
• Conduct meetings with maintenance associates.
• Oversee maintenance testing records.
• Track warehouse maintenance costs using technology and systems.
• Develop and train associates in maintenance duties.
• Assist operations to determine root causes of damage and recommend changes.
• Supervise direct reports and conduct performance reviews.

Job description

Responsible for maintaining buildings, equipment, and grounds to company standards in order to control operating cost. Responsible for training mechanics and other maintenance personnel. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Responsibilities

• - Communicate with fellow supervisors and managers on daily operational activities
• - Manage and promote safety and sanitation in all areas
• - Work closely with the Planner /Scheduler to ensure all weekly preventive maintenance is completed
• - Ensure all corrective work orders are completed timely at 100% accuracy
• - Work hand in hand with all other areas to maximize productivity and performance
• - Conduct meetings with all maintenance associates
• - Oversee the maintenance testing records
• - Track cost associated with warehouse maintenance using technology and systems
• - Help develop and train associates in their maintenance/mechanic job duties
• - Assist operations to determine root causes for damage/maintenance and recommend changes
• - Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports
• - Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
