Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding is seeking a Calibration Engineer to review field support requirements, establish calibration standards, and perform maintenance demonstrations for customers aboard ships. The role supports development of maintenance engineering and logistics through planning and proposal participation.

The position requires familiarity with PMS, HM&E, VFI review, and ILS Functional Groups, with a focus on calibration for shipboard systems and preventive maintenance workbooks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 9 years of experience.
• Associates degree and 7 years of experience.
• Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience.
• Masters degree and 3 years of experience.
• PhD and 0 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment.
• Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including maintenance tasks.
• Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers.
• Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy.
• Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support.
• Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.
