Job summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator/Retail for the CE Restricted Operations area in Albuquerque. This role supports the Safe Sleep distribution program, handles day-to-day shipping/receiving, inventory tracking, and direct customer assistance in inventory selection.

Responsibilities include processing purchases, data entry, vendor coordination, and ensuring accurate shipments. This is a full-time on-site position with benefits and a 06/30/2027 end date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
• Preferred qualifications include working knowledge of resale product, supplies, and equipment ordering and inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspects incoming shipments and compares packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy and records discrepancies.
• Ensures resale products and supplies are processed, prepared, and distributed to departments promptly.
• Oversees data entry of receiving information into computerized inventory and financial systems; provides backup data entry services as required.
• Coordinates vendor returns and obtain return authorizations as required.
• Inspects outgoing shipments and prepares orders and chargebacks for shipping, correcting discrepancies as needed.
• Assists in implementing automated data collection and control systems for shipping and receiving.
