Experience using Samsara, Tower, or comparable fleet management systems preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation-related software systems.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and dispatch CDL drivers to meet daily service, pickup, and delivery requirements.
Plan, schedule, and optimize daily routes for maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Monitor driver activity and provide real-time support throughout the workday.
Communicate with drivers, customers, sales representatives, managers, and corporate personnel regarding schedules, route changes, and service updates.
Contact customers to confirm scheduled pickups and provide status updates as needed.
Reschedule missed stops and coordinate service recovery efforts.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, and company safety policies.
Maintain accurate dispatch records, route information, customer communications, and transportation documentation.
Monitor fleet utilization and coordinate vehicle maintenance and repair schedules to minimize downtime.
Investigate and resolve customer service issues and delivery concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Assist with outbound shipment scheduling and transportation logistics activities.
Support customer billing and related transportation documentation as needed.
Collaborate with the Transportation Manager to improve operational efficiency and customer service performance.
Perform additional administrative and transportation-related duties as assigned.
