Job summary

Gemini Motor Transport is seeking a dispatch professional to coordinate trucks, drivers, and fuel pricing across our nationwide network. You will manage inventory for company-owned and third-party sites, working with fuel supply coordinators and regional managers to optimize purchasing strategies.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities; a high level of customer service will be essential as you support stores and drivers daily.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or supply chain preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience with fuel dispatch, logistics, or supply chain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch trucks and drivers while understanding store inventory needs, DOT restrictions, and fuel pricing.
• Handle fuel dispatch and coordinate with drivers and managers.
• Manage inventory levels for company owned and third-party locations.
• Develop store supply strategies with fuel supply coordinators and regional teams.
• Build professional relationships with drivers, carriers, and Gemini leadership.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Provide quality customer service to stores and drivers.
• Prioritize and complete tasks before end of shift.
• Take on additional duties as needed.

Job Functions:

• Dispatch trucks and drivers while understanding store inventory needs, DOT restrictions, and fuel pricing.
• Handle fuel dispatch.
• Manage and maintain inventory levels for company owned and third-party locations.
• Work with fuel supply coordinators, drivers and driver regional managers to develop store supply strategies to ensure fuel is purchased at the cheapest price possible.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with drivers, third party carriers, fuel supply coordinators, regional managers and Gemini leadership
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Provide quality customer service to stores and drivers.
• Prioritize work throughout the day, ensuring that all work is completed before ending shift.
• Handle other duties assigned as needed.

Experience and Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or supply chain preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience with fuel dispatch, logistics, or supply chain preferred.

Skills and Physical Demands:

• Ability to handle 50 inbound phone calls per day.
• Capable of managing 200+ emails per day.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to problem solve.
• High level of initiative and works well in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness/ability to accept continual training and constructive criticism.
• Ability to handle high pressure situations and deadlines.
• Basic Microsoft Windows / Office experience.
• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
• Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
