The Logistics Coordinator, Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing requests from customers, with the goal of meeting and exceeding customer expectations, while accurately tracking various shipment pick‑ups to their final deliveries. The ability to work in a fast‑paced, challenging environment is critical. Execution of job duties will require a team‑oriented individual that is customer service focused, and able to obtain a strong knowledge of systems and vendor capabilities. This individual will be an integral part of the coordination of transportation and operations for DSV Road Transport contractors, company drivers and customers.
This position is primarily sedentary and requires extended periods of sitting while working at a computer workstation. The role involves frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and operating standard office equipment. The employee must be able to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing, to interact with customers, drivers, carriers, and team members via phone, radio, and video conferencing. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching may be required. Vision abilities required include close vision for reviewing data, screens, and documentation.
This role is performed in a combination of office, dispatch center, terminal, and operations environments within a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven setting. The work environment includes regular interaction with drivers, dispatch teams, customers, contractors, and partner carriers. The position may involve moderate noise levels due to vehicle traffic, radios, phones, and ongoing operational activity. The role may require occasional presence in or around terminal yards or dock areas, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions. Flexibility is required to support operational needs, including early mornings, late evenings, weekend coverage, or non‑standard hours as business demands dictate.
For this position, the expected base pay range is $25.00 - $27.00 per hour which includes $2.00 shift differential. Compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
