Job summary

Description
ABOUT THE ROLE**Must Have Heavy Equipment Experience (Canes)**

As part of the Americas team, SANY is seeking a driven, forward-thinking, and highly motivated Logistics Coordinator-Cranes,to coordinate the transportation, delivery, and documentation of cranes and related equipment throughout North America. This position serves as the primary link between the Crane Sales team, customers, dealers, factories, ports, carriers, and internal departments to ensure equipment is delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule. The role requires strong organization, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple high-value equipment shipments at the same time.

With deep investment and backing from SANY Group, the Americas business continues to grow rapidly, and this role is critical to delivering competitive, customer-focused products that support long-term market expansion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation of cranes, attachments, and related equipment.
  • Schedule deliveries from ports, warehouses, factories, and storage locations to customers and dealers.
  • Obtain and compare transportation quotes for oversized, overweight, breakbulk, and standard equipment shipments.
  • Confirm load out scenarios, equipment dimensions, weights, permits, escorts, routing, and delivery requirements with carriers.
  • Track shipments and provide timely delivery updates to customers, dealers, sales personnel, and management.
  • Coordinate vessel arrivals, customs clearance, port releases, inspections, and pickup scheduling.
  • Review bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, delivery receipts, and related shipping documents for accuracy.
  • Verify delivery locations, site access, unloading requirements, and customer contacts before dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate shipment and delivery information in company systems and logistics tracking reports.
  • Review freight invoices and investigate discrepancies, detention, demurrage, accessorial charges, or equipment damage claims.
  • Coordinate with the Crane Sales & Service teams to prioritize deliveries based on customer commitments and business needs.
  • Support inventory transfers among company facilities, dealers, customers, and service locations.
  • Assist with international shipments and communication with overseas factories and freight-forwarding partners.
  • Identify potential delays or delivery problems and proactively develop solutions.
  • Develop qualified carrier relationships and monitor service, safety, and cost performance.
  • Ensure transportation activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
ADDITIONAL CUSTOMER & FIELD SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support new-customer crane deliveries, including pre-delivery coordination, site readiness, equipment handoff, and confirmation that required documentation is complete.
  • Provide or coordinate customer and dealer product-familiarization training covering crane features, controls, routine inspections, maintenance expectations, and proper use of manufacturer manuals and documentation.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, assembly, and disassembly of newly delivered cranes in accordance with manufacturer procedures, site requirements, and applicable safety standards.
  • Coordinate qualified personnel, tools, support equipment, transport loads, permits, and jobsite requirements needed for crane assembly and disassembly activities.
  • Serve as an on-site liaison among the customer, dealer, carrier, service personnel, and Crane Sales team during delivery, setup, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
  • Document delivery condition, assembly progress, training completion, customer acceptance, and any outstanding technical or parts-related items requiring follow-up.
  • Travel to customer locations as needed to support deliveries, crane builds, product familiarization, and other new-customer requirements. Identify opportunities to improve and standardize business processes.
  • Perform assembly, disassembly, training, or technical activities only within the employee’s demonstrated qualifications and company authorization; regulated operator or certification training must be conducted by appropriately qualified personnel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in the crane industry, including relevant logistics, delivery, assembly, service, operations, or customer-support responsibilities.
  • Experience with cranes, construction equipment, oversized loads, breakbulk shipping, or port operations strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, dealers, carriers, ports, vendors, and internal leadership.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and remain composed when schedules or delivery conditions change.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Primarily office-based, with occasional visits to ports, warehouses, customer sites, or equipment yards.

  • Must be comfortable working around cranes, trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment while following required safety procedures.
