Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Brooklyn Park, MN is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to track parts, manage inventory, and coordinate transfers to the production line. You will identify root causes, communicate escalations, and support material planning with SAP and MS Office transactions.

The role requires 1 year in logistics/warehousing and familiarity with inventory systems like Mach 1 or SAP. First shift, 6:00 am–2:00 pm, with overtime possible.

Responsibilities

• Regularly communicate with supported lines to expedite material planning.
• Maintain and track SAP and Microsoft Office transactions for material movements or requirements; document and correct discrepancies.
• Participate in support projects as needed.

What to Expect

As a Logistics Coordinator your role is pivotal to our team, you will safely and accurately track parts, update their status, and find solutions to root cause loss issues. You will coordinate the speedy transfer to our teams on our production line. You will communicate escalations when issues arise, assisting with root cause identification and corrective action development for material handling related quality and velocity. our team is growing -

Additionally, you will regularly communicate with supported lines to expedite material planning. Maintain and track complex SAP and Microsoft Office transactions that correspond to physical material movements or requirements, as well as maintain other electronic documentation. You will regularly take initiative to identify, document, communicate and correct problems, report discrepancies and recommend solutions. You may participate in support projects as needed.

Pay Rate and Schedule:

The position includes an extension of total hourly compensation of $24.15/hourly along with a comprehensive Day-One benefit program, generous time off, and retirement benefits with a matching program and separate company contribution!

Openings available on 1st shift: Monday - Friday 6 a.m.- 2:00 p.m

Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization.

Required Qualifications for Consideration (minimum):

• Experience distributing and managing counts of parts
• 1 years’ experience in logistics/warehousing
• 1 years’ experience using inventory management systems (example Mach 1 / SAP)

Top Candidates Will Have:

• A Two-year degree/certificate
• Experience operating material handling equipment (i.e. counterbalance, turret, reach, picker).
• Caterpillar Paving Products experience

Additional Information:

Shift: First Shift

Hours: 06:00am - 02:00pm

Work Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Compensation: L03; $24.15/hourly + Day One benefits

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 35 lbs frequently
• Work at multiple height
• Climb on material handling equipment
• Sit or stand for a majority of the 8 hour shift with minimal breaks
• Exposure to magnets that may impact medical devices
• Kneel, squat, and crawl on knees
• Work in awkward positions, including forward reach, lateral reach, squat, overhead reaching, twisting, and forward head and rotation of neck.
• Work in tight spaces
• Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, rotating
• Use of fine motor skills

Work Environment

• Limited exposure to welding fumes and noise levels of 85db or greater
• Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists
• Work in environment with frequently changing temperatures
• Use of hand tools including band cutters and box cutter

Summary Pay Range:

$24.15 - $30.98
