Pero Family Farms is hiring a Logistics Coordinator in Delray Beach, FL. The role focuses on booking loads, managing daily activities, and coordinating inbound and outbound distribution to ensure cost-efficient, timely delivery.

The coordinator works closely with the Director of Logistics and other teams to meet service goals. The position requires 2–5 years of related experience, strong analytical skills, and knowledge of DOT/state/federal regulations.

Position Summary

Primarily responsible for obtaining sales to support PTC Logistics, LLC's company objectives. The Logistics Coordinator will book the loads on orders and ensure the effective management of each load in order to provide optimal customer service. This position in conjunction with the Director of Logistics, will organize the efficient distribution of inbound raw materials to the processing facility and outbound finished goods to each Regional Distribution Center and the customer to ensure that orders are correctly satisfied and cost-efficient. The Logistics Coordinator is expected to manage the daily activities and resolve any issues under his/her qualified discretion.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and planning processes in order to achieve agreed-upon company goals and objectives.
• Effective formation and timing of loads to achieve key metrics and profitability measurements for each customer.
• Create and manage an individual portfolio of customer accounts.
• Address all concerns and implement solutions for both established and prospective customers.
• Execute carrier claims and follow through any necessary concerns.
• Data entry, including but not limited to order creation, running mileage of predetermined routes, keeping loads and paperwork organized, filing documents, and organizing carrier documents (including insurance and carrier packets).
• Ensure carriers meet or exceed performance requirements, including customer service, quality, and compliance.
• Work collaboratively with Regional Distribution Centers’ General Managers to implement necessary transfers.
• Interface with sales, production, and quality control, ensuring the company’s customer service creates a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
• Focus on the optimization of distribution and transportation costs and the distribution and delivery of products to customers.

Required Experience And Training

This position requires 2-5 years of experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is primarily performed in an office environment with extensive computer and phone usage
• Frequent interaction with internal teams including Sales, Production, Quality Control, Regional Distribution Centers, and the Director of Logistics
• Regular communication with customers and third-party carriers to coordinate loads and resolve issues
• Work involves managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and time-sensitive transportation activities
• Occasional exposure to distribution or warehouse environments when coordinating inbound and outbound shipments
• May require participation in workshops, training sessions, or educational programs to maintain compliance with DOT, state, and federal regulations
• Standard business hours with potential for extended hours as business demands require

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based and phone-based work
• Ability to stand, walk, and move periodically throughout the workday
• Ability to perform repetitive motions, including keyboarding, mouse use, and phone handling
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to visually review data, reports, and documentation
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment
