Job summary

Varel Energy Solutions in Brownsville, TX is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage domestic and international shipments, including customs formalities. The role requires strong communication, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and prior logistics experience in oil and gas.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in related field (Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, etc.) is preferred.
• 3+ years of a combination of domestic and international logistics experience.
• Excellent knowledge of US Domestic carriers network.
• Experience with ERP systems - (SAP preferred) and logistics-related applications (e.g. TMS systems, carriers software, etc).
• Oil & gas industry experience preferred
• Spanish ( preferred)
• Knowledge of customs regulations and trade compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end export logistics activities, including preparation and filing of SLI/AES, mode of transport and carrier selection, freight rate negotiations, export documentation, Green Light approval process, shipment execution, track & trace, and record keeping in MS SharePoint and SAP. Ensure export activities comply with applicable trade regulations and internal logistics procedures.
• Coordinate end-to-end import activities, including compliance and shipping document review, freight arrangements, Green Light approval, customs broker instructions, track & trace, customs clearance coordination, last-mile delivery, customs entry audits, and import record retention.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and logistics trackers, support freight spend and performance reporting, ensure adherence to established logistics processes, and support freight forwarder cost-control initiatives.
• Support operational escalations, including OS&D resolution, and participate in logistics improvement initiatives and other assigned projects.

Summary

VES is looking for a Logistics Coordinatorto join our team in our Brownsville, Texaslocation. The role is responsible for all aspects of domestic and international shipments, including completion of customs formalities (imports and exports). This position requires a team player with strong communication skills, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, and logistics working experience in oil and gas industry.
