Job summary

Ben E. Keith is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Missouri City, TX to support logistics, customer service and shipment functions, and to maintain data in internal systems. You will track freight and carrier bills to ensure accurate pricing and timely delivery.

The role requires at least 3 years of business experience, strong data entry and PC skills, the ability to multi-task, and learning internal applications. A High School Diploma is required, a 4-year degree is preferred.

Position Summary and Responsibilities

The purpose of the Logistics Coordinator is to assist the logistics department with clerical support for Ben E. Keith operational, customer service and shipment functions in an effort to ensure effective logistics management.

• Maintain accurate data in internal systems and provide clerical support to drive operational efficiency
• Track freight and carrier bills to ensure accurate pricing and invoicing
• Perform tracking of freight loads to ensure satisfactory quality and timely delivery

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• At least 3 years of business experience a plus
• Ability to use a PC
• Data entry skills a must
• Knowledge of logistics/transportation helpful
• Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications
• Solid interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.

Driver safety is important to Ben E. Keith. We use dash cameras which leverage artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events and improve driver safety performance. The videos are also used to exonerate drivers in accidents. All drivers sign a driver consent form upon hire to confirm their understanding.
