Job summary

KBR is seeking a Logistics Clerk to coordinate and expedite the movement of materials, parts, and assemblies. The role includes setting deadlines for deliverables, verifying shipment accuracy, and maintaining shipping records to support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include inspecting shipments, labeling, and arranging distribution upon arrival, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving and SAP is preferred.

Job Summary

The Logistics Clerk is responsible for coordinating and expediting the movement of materials, parts, and assemblies. This role involves establishing and communicating deadlines for deliverables, as well as verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments. The clerk maintains relevant records, stamps identification information and shipping instructions on containers, and arranges for the distribution of materials upon arrival. They inspect products for quality and quantity to ensure they meet specifications, working diligently to adhere to schedules and support customer satisfaction.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and move materials that weigh 35-50 pounds repetitively within or near plant, yard, or work site. Arrange for distribution of materials upon arrival.
  • Manage Materials being inducted/transferred, received, and/or issued through the Repair and Overhaul Section and responsible for all Database entries.
  • Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
  • Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, clawhammer, or other hand tools.
  • Load and unload materials by hand onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
  • Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using a hand truck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or another device.
  • Secure lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination using hand-operated crane or hoist, signals crane, or hoisting operators.
  • Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, both individually and as part of a team, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in shipping and receiving, safety protocols, organization, and equipment operation.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience in logistics and warehousing operations.
