Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Procurement Analyst to research and compare products using the Teledyne Smart Source System (IVALUA). You will troubleshoot Dolphin record issues and classify third-party materials to secure the best purchasing plan for the company.

Ideal candidates have a BS/BA in a related field, strong forecasting/MRP knowledge, and proficiency in MS Excel. Excellent organization and communication skills are required.

Job Summary

The procurement analyst’s duties are to research and compare products and services from suppliers in order to decide what will be most compatible for the company using the Teledyne Smart Source System (IVALUA). This position will also provide troubleshooting and rectification of Dolphin record issues along with 3rd Party Classification of material sourced for 3rd party vendors. Having a working technical knowledge of the goods or services being purchased is extremely important for procurement analysts. Being informed about the correct price, quality, availability, and reliability of a product allows analysts to ensure the best purchasing plan possible for their company.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• MUST BE US CITIZEN OR PERM RESIDENT
• Procurement analysts communicate frequently with suppliers, senior buyers, and buyer/planners.
• Analyst may be required to visit distribution centers and manufacturing sites to learn about their products, services, and prices. Following these visits, analysts prepare reports on the suppliers and submit them to the sourcing team and management for review.
• After a suitable supplier has been chosen, analysts, using the Teledyne Smart Source System, negotiate contract terms after offering bids to desired suppliers. Travel may be required to network with new suppliers.
• Troubleshooting company accounts payable issues affecting suppliers which include PO Amendment, missing or wrong Goods Receipts, Invoice mistakes and duplications.
• Jurisdiction & Classification (Level 1, Trade Compliance) for materials sourced from 3rd parties which may be shipped to external customers.

Job Qualifications

• BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or equivalent experience
• Applied knowledge of forecasting, MRP, transportation, supply chain, inventory management and warehousing disciplines
• Proficient with MS Office suite – advanced skills with MS Excel
• Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail
• Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills
• Able to influence others & manage conflict
• Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations
• Extremely high standards of excellence
• Analytical with a methodical approach to problem solving

Salary Range

$50,600.00-$67,500.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
