Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time Logistics Entry role in San Pedro, CA. You will monitor entry points, verify access, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and willingness to undergo background checks and a drug screen. This is a daytime schedule with multiple shift blocks at a logistics site.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Verify identification, credentials, delivery appointments, and authorization for personnel, visitors, and drivers.
• Monitor entry/exit activity, visitor logs, access-control systems and shipping/receiving areas; report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify site contacts or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
