Salary Range: $30.00 To $34.50 Hourly

This position requires logistics services for the operation and sustainment of government owned marine handling systems and vessels as well as other in-service work items. This position is responsible for procuring, delivering and sustaining goods and services for government contracts. Tasks will include analyzing purchase requisitions, identifying suitable vendors, conducting local procurement, receiving and delivering goods to end users. negotiating contracts, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with all applicable procurement laws and regulations, prioritizing cost-effectiveness and quality while maintaining transparency throughout the process

Reviewing purchase requisitions:

Analyzing requests from different departments within the agency to determine the required goods or services, quantity, and specifications.

Market research:

Identifying potential vendors, researching current market prices, and comparing quality options to find the best value, while adhering to government purchasing guidelines.

Preparing and distributing requests for proposals (RFPs) or invitations to bid (ITBs) to qualified vendors.

Bid evaluation:

Analyzing vendor proposals based on price, quality, delivery time, and compliance with specifications to select the most suitable supplier.

Negotiating contract terms and conditions with vendors, including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranty details.

Purchase order issuance:

Creating and issuing purchase orders to approved vendors once contracts are finalized.

Maintaining relationships with vendors, monitoring performance, and addressing any issues related to delivery or quality.

Compliance oversight:

Ensuring all procurement activities adhere to government regulations, including ethical sourcing, conflict of interest rules, and public procurement laws.

Reporting and analysis:

Tracking purchase orders, analyzing spending trends, and preparing reports on procurement activities for management.

Delivery and Field Services:

Picking up and delivering automotive or machinery parts to customers by efficiently loading and unloading the parts from a company warehouse or inventory, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining accurate order fulfillment and adhering to safety regulations; often requiring strong driving skills, customer service, and basic knowledge of parts identification

  • Maintenance and Repair.Performing routine maintenance tasks (cleaning, lubrication, etc.). Diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions. Replacing worn or damaged parts.
  • Preventative Maintenance.Conducting regular inspections to identify potential problems. Implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Conduct preparation and painting as needed on government owned equipment.
  • Troubleshooting.Identifying the root cause of equipment failures. Developing and implementing solutions to address issues.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping.Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities. Documenting repairs and maintenance procedures.
  • Safety.Ensuring safe working conditions for themselves and others. Following safety protocols and procedures.
  • Other potential responsibilities.Calibrating and aligning equipment.Installing new equipment. Modifying existing equipment. Training other employees on equipment operation and maintenance. Managing inventory of spare parts and supplies. Working with vendors and suppliers. Participating in the development and implementation of maintenance plans.

This effort will involve the access and potentially populate information/material at the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level and/or access restricted areas. All personnel gaining access to CUI must have a current (within the past 5 years) favorable Tier 3 or equivalent investigation or higher investigation prior to starting work on the contract.
