Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Locust Grove, GA is hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Associate to support our facility. You will package, load/unload, scan items, and maintain accurate inventory while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities include selecting and packing orders, operating forklifts (as certified), maintaining housekeeping, and collaborating with team members to meet deadlines. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Powered industrial truck certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers. Ensure all scanning is completed correctly. Help train dock employees on new procedures.
• Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping.
• Perform picking and packing duties. Check for evidence of product or container damage.
• Perform the assigned tasks as described in the location's policies and procedures standards to include handling of materials within associated logical transactions.
• Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required.
• Participate in workgroup and other team activities for the purpose of self improvement and improving warehouse operations and related business functions.
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
