Job summary

Curative is seeking a Psychiatry physician for a Texas clinic-based locum to cover adult male patients in a mixed inpatient/outpatient setting. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week with no on-call requirements and flexibility on shift times.

Expected start mid-November 2026, with ongoing coverage linked to a permanent search and locums term up to 3 months, with the possibility to convert to permanent.

Qualifications

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Board Certified in Psychiatry.
• Active Texas license required.
• BLS and DEA required.

Responsibilities

• Direct psychiatric care for assigned patients.
• Participation in due process proceedings for voluntary admission and compelled psychoactive medication.
• Forensic experience is not required, but is a benefit.
• Provide clinical supervision to psychiatric mid level practitioners as assigned by the clinical director.
