Job description

We are seeking a Locums Psychiatry Physician to provide part‑time psychiatric care in San Jose, CA. This role involves performing comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management for developmentally disabled patients with co‑occurring mental health disorders. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail‑oriented, and experienced in both adult and/or child psychiatry.

Compensation: $300 Per hour depending upon experience

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for referred patients.
• Provide specialized psychiatric and medical services, including prescribing and monitoring controlled substances.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Deliver qualified, reimbursable services under Medicare, Medi‑Cal, Regional Centers, County Mental Health, and other funding sources.
• Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Participate in quality assurance and case review meetings as needed.
