Northeast Healthcare Recruitment seeks a Board-Certified OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage in Petersburg, Virginia. The assignment includes 24-hour call coverage and scheduled clinic visits to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care while the primary provider is away.

Responsibilities include managing labor and deliveries, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections, responding to gynecologic emergencies, and documenting encounters in Epic.

Qualifications

• Board-certified OB/GYN with Virginia license required.
• Active Virginia DEA registration and CSR required.
• ABOG certification and BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Provide 24-hour OB/GYN call coverage and respond to patient needs.
• Conduct scheduled outpatient clinic visits.
• Manage labor and deliveries, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
• Evaluate and treat gynecologic emergencies, including ectopic pregnancies and ovarian torsion.
• Perform suction D&C and manage abnormal uterine bleeding.
• Document encounters in Epic and coordinate with MFM and other staff.

We are seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician forlocum tenens coverage in Petersburg, Virginia. This opportunity includes24-hour call coverage and scheduled clinic visits, providing comprehensiveobstetric and gynecologic care while a provider is away.

Schedule & Practice Details

·Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-hour coverage)

·CoverageDates: December 17–24 and December 31, 2026

·CoveragePotential: Ongoing opportunities may be available

·Call Ratio: 1:4

·ClinicVolume: Approximately 20 scheduled patients per day

·Call-BackVolume: Fewer than one call-back per 24-hour shifton average; calls are received through an answering service

·PracticeSetting: Hospital-based OB/GYN and call coverage

·FacilityCapacity: 9 labor and delivery beds and 20 postpartumbeds

·AverageNursery Admissions: 2–3 per day

·EMR: Epic

·High-RiskObstetrics: Most high-risk patients are managed byMaternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM)

Responsibilities

· Provide 24-hour OB/GYN call coverage andrespond to patient needs.

Requirements

· Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
