Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a board-certified pathologist in New York for surgical pathology and non‑GYN cytology. The role includes frozen sections (2–5 per week) and ROSE (5–8 per week) in a hospital setting with privileges required.

The assignment offers housing and travel arrangements, a comprehensive malpractice plan, and streamlined credentialing. You will be supported by a dedicated recruiter handling details and time-entry access through an online portal.

Qualifications

• Board-certified pathologist with surgical pathology expertise.
• Non-GYN cytology experience required.
• Familiar with frozen section interpretation (2–5 per week).
• Experience with rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret surgical pathology and non-GYN cytology specimens.
• Provide accurate intraoperative consultation (frozen sections) and ROSE.
• Collaborate with hospital teams and ensure timely reporting.

Job description

• Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm -- flexible, minimum 2 - 3 days/week
• Surgical cases divided among pathologists
• Hospital setting -- privileges required
• Surgical pathology and non-GYN cytology required
• Frozen sections required -- 2 - 5 per week
• Rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) required -- 5 - 8 per week
• No autopsies
