Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. seeks a Locums General Surgery Physician to provide 24-hour ED and inpatient general surgery coverage in Brigham City, Utah. Coverage is needed throughout October with the opportunity to support a busy call schedule; shifts run 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. (24-hour call) and expect about 30 shifts per month. EMR is Meditech. Requirements include MD or DO, board certification/eligibility, and Utah licensure.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Active Utah medical license and Utah DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide general surgery coverage for emergency department and inpatient patients.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute surgical conditions.
• Respond to emergency surgical consultations and provide treatment as appropriate.
• Coordinate patient care with nursing, technical, and radiology staff.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in Meditech.
