Job summary

A busy Level II Trauma Center in Webster, Texas is seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to join its experienced Emergency Department team. This opportunity offers exposure to high-acuity cases with strong specialty support and a collaborative multidisciplinary staff.

The ED handles approximately 50,000 visits annually in a 36-bed department, with dedicated adult and pediatric sections and Meditech EMR.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
• Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Current DEA registration.
• ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS certifications, as required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a broad spectrum of emergency medical conditions
• Manage high-acuity medical and traumatic emergencies
• Perform emergency procedures within the scope of Emergency Medicine practice
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic evaluations
• Stabilize critically ill and injured patients
• Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to deliver timely, evidence‑based patient care
• Accurately document patient encounters using Meditech
