Job summary

Seattle Roots Community Health invites a dedicated Dentist to provide comprehensive, patient-centered dental care across all phases of general dentistry. The position reports to the Dental Site Director and operates on-site in Seattle, with on-call hours as part of the job scope.

The role requires a DDS/DMD with WA licensure, DEA and BLS certifications, and 3–5 years of direct dental experience, ideally with underserved populations.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a School of Dentistry.
  • Current Washington state DDS/DMD license.
  • DEA certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • AEGD or GPR training preferred.
  • 3–5 years of direct dental services experience.
  • Experience working with underserved populations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all phases of direct dental care (restorative, oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, removable prosthodontics, pediatric procedures).
  • Provide relief of pain and palliative treatment for emergencies.
  • Supervise and check prophylactic treatments by dental assistants.
  • Interpret X-rays and diagnostic tests.
  • Administer local anesthetic and prescribe medications.
  • Refer patients for specialty care as needed.
  • Conduct follow-up patient care.
  • Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.

$91.00 – 104.05/hour payable bi-weekly. The salary scale for this position is between steps 0 and 19, depending on experience. This is a non-exempt position and on-call hours and on site. Applicants must pass an extensive background check.

Job Summary

The Dentist provides comprehensive, patient-centered dental care across all phases of general dentistry in accordance with established professional standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements. This position reports to and is supervised by the Dental Site Director.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Current registration/licensure with DDS or DMD in the State of Washington.
  • DEA certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • AEGD or GPR, preferred.
  • 3-5 years of direct dental services experience.
  • Experience working with underserved populations preferred.
Education and Traning:

Minimum of 3–5 years of direct clinical dental practice experience preferred.

Demonstrated commitment to community health and patient-centered care.

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

Completion of an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) or General Practice Residency (GPR) program is preferred, as it provides advanced clinical training in comprehensive and complex dental care.
