Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a psychiatry locum tenens physician for a Georgia assignment. The role covers inpatient units across acute, long-term, and sub-acute care, treating mood, psychotic, and substance use disorders. Cases involve a wide age range from pre-adolescents to geriatric patients.

Shifts run Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with 9-hour blocks and no on-call obligations. Weatherby provides malpractice insurance and pre-paid travel and housing, plus 24-hour consultant support.

Responsibilities

• Shift schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, 9-hour shifts, no call.
• Inpatient psychiatric care across acute, long-term, and sub-acute units.
• Serve pre-adolescent to geriatric populations with mood, psychotic, and substance use disorders.
• Manage involuntary commitments, seclusion, and restraint as needed.
• Travel and housing logistics handled by Weatherby.
