Job summary

The Bronx-based Level 1 Trauma Hospital seeks an MD for 100% on-site inpatient interventional radiology coverage. Day shifts are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on a 7-on/7-off schedule, with weeknight on-call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM and weekend call.

Procedures include image-guided, minimally invasive IR using fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, with Epic EMR documentation. Board-certified Interventional Radiology is required; prior experience with high-volume IR workloads is preferred.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Interventional Radiologist (IR) required.
• Inpatient interventional radiology experience preferred.
• Excellent on-site coverage during day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide 100% on-site inpatient IR coverage during day shifts 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
• Adhere to 7 on, 7 off schedule with weeknight call 4:00 PM–8:00 AM and weekend call.
• Perform minimally invasive image-guided procedures using fluoro, US, CT, and MRI; pre-/post-procedure consults.
• Document procedures in Epic EMR and collaborate with residents, fellows, and other physicians.

About the Clinician's Workday

Clinicians will provide 100% on-site inpatient interventional radiology coverage during day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on a 7 on 7 off schedule, with weeknight call at a 1:3 ratio from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM and weekend call responsibilities. Procedural responsibilities include minimally invasive, image-guided procedures utilizing fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, as well as pre- and post-procedure consults and emergency IR procedures as needed. An expected volume of 8-10 procedures per day is anticipated, and clinical documentation is managed through Epic EMR. Board certification is required for this assignment.
