Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree required.
- License in good standing with the applicable state veterinary board.
- DEA license required.
- Proven ability to perform all basic surgeries with standard instruments.
- Strong communication and client service skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of Pets.
- Ensure the safety of pets, clients and staff; maintain clean, sterile treatment areas.
- Obtain client history and maintain medical records.
- Educate clients about preventive care and hospital services.
- Communicate diagnosis and treatment plan to veterinary team and clients.
- Follow state and federal laws and maintain controlled substance inventory.
