Job summary

77 consultants is seeking a Locum MD in Vascular Surgery for an on-site, full-time contract position in Georgia. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating vascular conditions, performing both open and endovascular procedures, and coordinating care within a multidisciplinary team.

The Associate-level position requires MD degree, General Surgery residency, Vascular Surgery fellowship or equivalent, board certification or eligibility, and an active Georgia medical license.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited institution.
• Residency in General Surgery followed by a fellowship or equivalent training in Vascular Surgery.
• Board certification or eligibility in Vascular Surgery.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Georgia.
• Proven clinical experience in open and endovascular vascular procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team setting.
• Preferred: Experience in locum or contract practice settings.
• Preferred: Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose patients with peripheral arterial and venous disorders.
• Perform vascular surgical procedures in accordance with established standards of care.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct pre-operative and post-operative assessments and follow-up care.
• Interpret vascular imaging studies, including duplex ultrasound, angiography, and CT or MR angiography.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient medical records.
• Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical quality initiatives.
• Communicate treatment options and outcomes clearly to patients and their families.
