Job summary

Comunidade Metodista is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support a Pediatric ICU near Dallas, Texas. The role requires independent judgment and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to manage complex pediatric cases.

The incumbent will work 13-hour shifts, document in Epic EMR, and benefit from travel and expense coverage provided by the center. A Texas license and NP/PA program accreditation are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

A medical center 30 minutes from Dallas, Texas, has an opening for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist their Pediatric ICU.

• Schedule: 13-hour shifts

• Types of Patients: Asthmatics, DKA, ingestions, chronic ventilations

• EMR: Epic

• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• Board Certified

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

• National Institutes of Health (NIH)

• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

• Active unencumbered physician Texas state license

• Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

• One year of work experience as a PICU Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• One year of EMR experience

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
