Job summary

DocStar Medical Partners in Topeka, Kansas, seeks a DO or MD urologist with robotic surgery skills and pelvic floor reconstruction experience. The current structure is 3 clinic days and 2 operating room days per week, with call coverage shared among a two-hospital system nearby.

Boards or board eligibility required; Epic EMR is used for charting. Minimum commitment is 3 months, with possible extensions to 6, 9 or 12 months.

Qualifications

• DO or MD required, Board eligible or board certified preferred.
• Urology specialty with robotic experience and pelvic floor reconstruction.
• License: KS or IMLC; Epic EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clinic: 3 days per week; OR: 2 days per week.
• See 25–30 patients in clinic and perform 5–6 surgeries on OR days.
• Join a 6-person call rotation across two hospitals across the street.
• Contract length: min 3 months with potential 6–12 month extensions.

Work Schedule:

Currently, our urologists do 3 clinic days and 2 OR days per week. They see 25 – 30 in clinic and 5 – 6 surgeries on their OR days. Of course we would adapt that is someone is looking for less than FT work and are a great fit for our program.

Procedures:

Ideal candidate – robotically trained and have pelvic floor reconstruction experience. Other than that, typical urology procedures.

Other additional pertinent information:

The candidate would join a practice of 2 FT providers. If they were to take call they would join a rotation of 6. The doctors provide call coverage at 2 hospitals situated across the street from one another.
