Job summary

DocStar Medical Partners in California seeks a Pediatrician (MD or DO) for a 12-week locum assignment starting May 2026. The role covers full-scope general pediatrics in an FQHC network, with Epic EMR and multi-site coverage as needed.

Approximately 24 patients/day; 29 are scheduled but there is a 20% no show rate. Walk-ins and same day appointments are also welcome if there is a huge no show rate, so may be up to 29 patients/day.

Procedures:

Full scope General Pediatrics - circumcisions included. Bread & Butter pediatrics. Peds MD will have to be flexible with being able to cover different locations if needed.

Other additional pertinent information:

Try to schedule the pediatricians with their own MA's. There will be 1½MA's scheduled with them. The½MA is a float.

There are additional sites/locations for Pediatrics, and the locum will have to be comfortable to switching locations, if absolutely needed.

There is a 3 week ramp up period of Epic training.

75% of the population is Spanish speaking and Filipino. They have interpreter lines and virtual translation as well. Most of their permanent staff is Spanish speaking or able to understand Spanish.
