Job summary

Medicus has partnered with a hospital in central Georgia that has an opportunity for a skilled Psychiatrist to provide locum coverage on a 27-bed inpatient psychiatry unit. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8a-5p with 2 nights per week beeper call and 1 weekend per month. Adult patients 18+.

NP support available and board-certified physicians are required. Benefits include paid travel and expenses, malpractice coverage, licensing/credentialing support, and dedicated travel arrangements.

Qualifications

• Board-certified psychiatrist with inpatient experience.
• Experience providing general psychiatry consults in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide bread-and-butter inpatient psychiatry care.
• Perform psychiatric consultations for patients.
• Collaborate with residents and NP support on the unit.
