Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks a pediatric hospitalist for a hospital-based role in Melbourne, FL. The position focuses on inpatient H&Ps with Level I Nursery coverage and newborn care. Expect 5–10 shifts per month, with 8:00–16:00 in-house and 16:00–08:00 on call from a hotel, plus NP support on newborn care.

NRP and PALS are required. Weatherby provides malpractice coverage, prepaid travel and housing, and ongoing consultant access.

Qualifications

• Pediatric hospitalist with inpatient coverage.
• Experience in hospital-based pediatrics and nursery coverage.
• Comfort with 24-hour call schedules and on-site duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide H&Ps and inpatient pediatric coverage.
• Support Level I Nursery coverage with newborn care.
• No obstetric procedures (no deliveries).
• Coordinate with in-house NP support for newborns.
• Perform time entry via the online portal.
