Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a locum tenens neurosurgeon for the Eureka, California area. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient spine and trauma care with complex cases, including instrumentation, ICP monitoring, and continuous on-call coverage.

Typical schedule includes a clinic with day call (Mon–Fri, 8:30 am–5 pm) and weekend 24-hour call, with guaranteed eight hours per day and five patients per shift.

Qualifications

• Inpatient and outpatient practice settings required.
• Spinal surgery with and without instrumentation required.
• ICP monitor placement and general neurosurgery skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide neurosurgical care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage; weekend coverage as needed.
• Manage complex spine and trauma cases, including ICP monitoring.
