Job summary

Adelphi Locums is seeking an Emergency Medicine physician for nocturnist coverage in Osage Beach, Missouri. The role supports a Level III ED, averaging high patient volumes, with collaborative APP support and state-of-the-art EMR (Meditech) and Dragon documentation.

Coverage runs on a 3 days x 12 hours night schedule, with travel and lodging arranged, and malpractice insurance provided. Missouri licensure is preferred or ability to obtain it, with ABEM/ABIM/ABFM EM credentials considered.

Qualifications

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) preferred; ABIM or ABFM with EM experience considered
• Licenses: Active Missouri Medical License or ability to obtain
• Certifications: ATLS, BLS, PALS required
• Experience: Prior Emergency Medicine experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide nocturnist coverage at Lake Regional Health System’s 35-bed Emergency Department with 36,000 annual visits
• Manage patients with medium acuity in a Level III Trauma Center
• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) during 12-hour shifts
• Perform emergency procedures including intubation, central line placement, laceration repair, and conscious sedation
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR with Dragon
