Job summary

CompHealth supports physicians in Hershey, PA to practice obstetrics in a hospital setting with a dedicated recruiter handling housing, travel, credentialing, licensing, and more.

Your role will involve both inpatient and outpatient obstetrics, with occasional on-call duties and a focus on high-risk cases, including coordination of care and detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• Hospital privileges required.
• Experience in high-risk obstetrics preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient obstetric care in a high-risk setting.
• Perform procedures such as amniocentesis, C-sections, vaginal breech deliveries and forceps/vacuum.
• Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams and ensure timely time-entry and documentation.

• Weekdays outpatient: 8 am - 5 pm; inpatient: 6:45 am - 5:30 pm
• Weekend beeper call -- Friday evening, Saturday rounds, Sunday 7 am - Monday 7 am
• 8 - 15 patients per shift
• Inpatient and outpatient -- high-risk obstetrical setting
• Approx. 6 patients seen per 24-hour call period; 1 - 5 phone consults
• High-risk OB populations -- PIH, HELLP, diabetes, cardiac, renal, and more
• Procedures required -- amniocentesis, C-sections, vaginal breech, forceps/vacuum
• Hospital privileges required
• We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly
