Job summary

CompHealth is assisting in placing Gastroenterology locum tenens physicians in Somerset, Kentucky. The position involves call coverage, inpatient rounding, and performing advanced endoscopic procedures including upper GI endoscopy, ERCP, and colonoscopy with biopsy/polyp removal.

The role requires a fellowship in gastroenterology and ongoing credentialing support from CompHealth. Housing and travel arrangements are provided, with weekly practice management support from a dedicated recruiter.

Qualifications

• Fellowship in gastroenterology or related subspecialty.

Responsibilities

• Call coverage with 1:3 call ratio.
• Inpatient rounding responsibilities.
• Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy and therapeutic procedures.
• Perform ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic).
• Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision.
• Respond to calls within 30 minutes.
• Coordinate credentialing and privileging across assignments.
