Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks a Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist in Hawaii to provide outpatient GI consultative care in a full-time role. The candidate will perform EGD with dilation, colonoscopy, and conscious sedation within an ambulatory surgery center setting.

The position includes 1–2 days per month at neighbor island clinics, with a 3–6 month commitment. Epic EMR is used for documentation, and Weatherby offers competitive compensation and travel/housing support.

Qualifications

• Competent in EGD with dilation and colonoscopy.
• Proficient in conscious sedation for GI procedures.
• Experience with Epic EMR is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient GI consultative care in a full-time locum role.
• Perform endoscopic procedures including EGD with dilation and colonoscopy.
• Support an ambulatory surgery center setting and collaborates with staff.
• Travel to neighbor island clinics as needed (1–2 days/month).

• Approx. 10 procedures per day with afternoon rechecks
• Outpatient GI consultative care — ambulatory surgery center included
