Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a locums cardiothoracic surgeon for call coverage with 20 shifts per month, including 24-hour beeper calls and rapid response. The role spans inpatient and outpatient settings and requires open and endoscopic CV/thoracic procedures, with CABG on-pump/off-pump and TAVR/LVAD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in general CV/thoracic surgery.
• Open and endoscopic procedures required.
• CABG on-pump and off-pump proficiency essential.
• TAVR and LVAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide call coverage: 20 shifts per month.
• Respond to 24-hour beeper calls within 20 minutes.
• Perform general CV/thoracic surgeries, both open and endoscopic.
• Manage valvular repair/replacement as needed.
• Perform congenital defect repairs (ASD, VSD, PFO).
• Assist facilities with credentialing and privileging.
