Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks a locum tenens physician to cover a Wisconsin hospital. Schedule includes M-Th with 6:30 am huddle and cases from 7:00–7:30 am to 3–4 pm; 3 ORs in a hospital setting; backup pager call most nights Mon–Thurs; 2 weeks or more per month ongoing coverage.

Caseload features general, ortho, healthy peds (1 year+), GI/endo, and eyes; no cardiac, vascular, neuro, OB, thoracic, or trauma cases.

Job description

• M - Th, 6:30 am huddle, cases 7 - 7:30 am to 3 - 4 pm
• 10 - 15 patients per shift
• 3 operating rooms -- hospital setting
• CRNAs take first call -- minimal physician callback
• General, ortho, healthy peds 1 yr and up, GI/endo, eyes
• No cardiac, vascular, neuro, OB, thoracic, or trauma cases
• Backup pager call each night M - Th; Fri am - Mon am weekends
• 2 weeks or more per month -- ongoing coverage needed
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
